Detailed explanation

1. Client submits a request

  • You can submit a request by e-mail, website or phone.
  • The quickest way is to submit a request form.

2. Intake within two weeks **

  • If you are a first-time customer, we give you a call within two weeks.

3. Offer within 3 weeks

  • You will receive an offer within 3 weeks after we have received the request in full.
  • We might conduct a client acceptance review.

4. Planning an audit

  • After receipt of a signed offer, we schedule an audit.
  • In case you already have a certificate, we will ask you to send us a copy.

5. Provide documentation

  • You receive a confirmation letter with further background information about the audit.
  • The letter also contains a request for documentation.

6. Location visit or remote audit

  • Depending of the standard or scheme, and audit can be on location, remote or as a comination of both.
  • We aim to deliver audits against multiple scopes or schemes in one go.

7. Develop action plan **

  • Shortly after the audit, you receive a concise report with the most important findings.
  • When you do not meet the requirements, you are given the opportunity to provide an action plan (Corrective Action Plan).

8. Follow-up on action plan **

  • If applicable, you will receive feedback on the action plan.

9. Review by auditor

  • If applicable, the auditor reviews the actions.
  • Then the auditor finalizes the report.

10. Second review and decision

  • A second auditor reviews the report.
  • When all requirements are met, you receive a certificate and a comprehensive audit report.

11. Registration with scheme owner**

  • If required, Schouten Certification may register findings or conclusions with the scheme manager. Schouten Certification.
